Since 2021, WiGIS Uganda has joined the global community to celebrate GIS Day. Celebrated annually on the third Wednesday of November, it is a global event that highlights the transformative power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in understanding and addressing real-world challenges. For WiGIS Uganda, this day is not only a celebration of technological advancements but an acknowledgment of the contribution of women to the geospatial sector.
